Easy to install
Just run the installation wizard. Jahia includes an embedded database and every other technologies you need to get directly started. Of course, advanced users can also reuse their existing relational database as Jahia already provides default installation scripts for most of them.

The jahia ultra simple in-context editing feature is now freely available. Just edit your page like you would edit any presentation slide. Click on the fragment you want to edit; modify it; your content is published. No complex learning curve. No training required. Anyone can use it in minutes

Integrated WYSIWYG HTML Editor
Jahia is prepackaged with a default WYSIWYG editor allowing any contributers to rapidly enter and format rich texts. The editor is coupled to the Jahia File/Media repository (image selection) and to the Jahia sitemap (internal link selection).

Manage your files directly from within your Windows® File Explorer
Uploading images and files has never been easier. Thanks to the integrated WebDAV support, you can access your Jahia file repository through any firewall from your Microsoft® Web Folders or from any other supported WebDAV client.

AJAX powered GUI
Dou you have large sites with thousands of pages to manage? Do you have thousands of binary files? Do you have hundreds of editing icons to display on certain pages? The new Jahia 5.0 GUIs are powered by the AJAX technology. The various sitemaps only load the pages you are displaying and allow you to interactively browse branches without needing to refresh your browser with MegaBytes of data. Moreover the new file manager is now also 100% powered by this new Web 2.0 technology.

Support for blogs
Default blog templates are already pre-integrated and support most of the available Blogging standards and APIs. So you can effortlessly let your employees or association members start blogging away.

JSR168 Portlets and Servlet support
As well as supporting JSR168 portlets, Jahia also natively supports standard servlets as portlets. You can then directly reuse your existing servlets without having to recode them with the Portlet API.

The Jahia Community Edition let users to deploy collaborative portlets (open source or commercial) as discussion forum, RSS syndication portlet, calendar, and many others you can easely find on the portlet .
