God, my Virtual Private Server provider, FsckVPS has been sold again. Hmm, first Vaserv (FsckVPS is part of Vaserv) had been acquired by BlueSquare Data only a few months ago. Now BlueSquare Data hosting division has been acquired by Namesco. Who will be the next acqusitor?
The email from Vaserv support:Dear VAServ customer,
We are delighted to inform you of a new and exciting development at VAServ. BlueSquare Data has agreed to accept an offer from Namesco Ltd, to acquire its hosting division (consisting of VAServ, Server Arcade and PoundHost brands) with immediate effect. Namesco is part of Dada SpA, a leading international group in the domain name and hosting markets significantly focussed on developing and growing its presence in the UK market.
Completion of the transaction means that VAServ and its customers will benefit from the significant financial backing of a multi-national group. Furthermore, Namesco will retain all VAServ equipment at BlueSquare Data facilities guaranteeing continuity of service and our on-going commitment to excellence.
VAServ customers can be assured of no disruption or changes to service and the existing team who you have been dealing with for many years will continue to service your needs and requirements in the future. Namesco have no plans to change any element of the service from what it is today, and customers should continue to use the existing technical support methods and contact details.
In recognition of the company’s status as one of the major independent hosting companies in the UK, VAServ was approached by Namesco as part of its UK expansion plans. Namesco is
part of the Dada Group, a fast growing Italian based group employing approximately 600 people worldwide with a group turnover of 170 million Euros (2008).
